Maestro Hugo Fiorato has been associated with the New York City Ballet Company since its inception in 1948. In the course of his partnership with George Balanchine, he has participated in the transformation of ballet conducting and the performance of classical dance and music in the United States and abroad. This interview was conducted in June 2000 at Lincoln Center.
