Au Contraire: I Have Nothing to Write About

It happens to most every author at some point: The creative or critical well runs dry and a sad reality must be addressed: There is nothing left worth writing about. In penning previous columns for “Au Contraire” since 1996, when I became stuck for a column idea, I would try some typical tricks I teach my own college students: Walk along a beach, run two miles through the woods, or reflect on some past experiences with kids for quick inspiration.
