Social/Emotional Needs: Putting the Well-Being of All Students (Including Gifted Students) First

What if we put the well-being of the individual student (including gifted students) first in planning and carrying out school activities? How would things be different? These two questions seem innocuous at first, but upon further inspection, the answers may, in fact, require radical departures from current thinking and practice.
