Camp Invention Connects to Classrooms

Danute V. Krebs and Barbara D. Clark

When you think of summer camp, you usually picture children having lots of fun, being noisy and enthusiastic, making new friends, and learning new skills. Those elements are present at Camp Invention, a national creativity day camp that integrates science, math, social studies, and the arts. The one week camp for children entering grades 2–6 attracts many academically gifted children because of its hands-on curriculum.
